The Dunblane Primary School Parent Council is a group of parents who are committed to parental involvement at the school  They meet regularly throughout the year and liase directly with teachers and management at the school.

All parents and carers of children who attend the school are eligible to join the Parent Council which is formed annually to represent parents.  The Fundraising Group are part of the Parent Council structure and they organise a fundraising programme for the benefit of the children and the school.

The objectives of the Parent Council are:
  • to represent the views of parents on the education and welfare provided by the school
  • to organise a fundraising programme for the benefit of the school and children
  • to encourage active parental involvement in support of the school
 Currently two groups work towards these aims:
  • The Parent Council is a group of parents who meet regularly with the Headteacher and teachers to discuss school matters;
  • The Fundraising Group is a group of parents who successfully organise events throughout the year to raise money for the school and children
We are always keen to encourage more parents to become involved at the school.  Involvement can mean becoming a member of the Parent Council or Fundraising Group, and it can also mean volunteering as a parent helper at the school or helping at a Fundraising Group event.  It all adds up and benefits the children and the school.
If you are interested in becoming more active at the school, please contact us.  We desperately need new members to ensure the valuable work we do continues for the benefit of the whole school
